fantastic rally weekend, julie and malcolm ( site owners ) couldn't have been more helpfull and considerate , definatly recomend this site. will be back
I'm sending a huge thanks for our stay this week, at the East Kirkby Hideaway. Its a great site with a well stocked shop, if you need last minute food items. Plus much more. And home made products to die for.
If your a late riser on some days you will get a wakeup call from the undisputable sound of merlin engines, yes you've got, from Lancaster Bomber NX611 Just Jane. This very friendly well run camp site shares a boundary to one of the best active Bomber Command air museums in the UK.
The patrons of the site have a wealth of knowledge on all things local, and excellent info on all the must see places if your doing your own WWII airfield / bomber base reckee. So what are you waiting for, when the next big event is on locally what better place is the to stay then next door. An added bonus, If you love gazing at the night sky then there's no light pollution, so the stars are amazing.
Once again thanks for welcoming us I will be back.
Ps. Already booked.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
Juie made us feel extremely welcome and was helpful throughout our visit..

Thanks Malcolm and Julie for a lovely stay at the Hideaway. Our first CS site visit. We really chilled out and didn't want to go home
A big thank you! fantastic week at the hideawaway. julie and Malcolm are very accommadating and a really lovely couple. Made to feel very welcome from the moment I arrived untill the time I left. Lovely peaceful, relaxing and clean site. Great sugguestions as to were to visit, local pubs, resturants and local attractions nearby. Highly reccommended and I can't wait for my next visit, already booked for next year. Cheers Kev Moore
We just had a fantastic weekend at the hideaway, with a handful of our friends and their kids. beautiful little spot, super friendly and accommodating owners Julie and Malcolm. The kids love it, so much space to play ball games, and small wooded area for hide and seek. great location to go to the coast for a day or afternoon, and within 20 minutes drive of Horncastle and all its second hand and antique shops, and not forgetting the East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre, complete with Lancaster Bomber, right next door , which is quite an emotional trip, outlining the sheer craziness and vast sacrifices people made during WW2- a good reminder to the younger kids of what went on then. Finally a rather bonkers saturday night Karaoke seesion at the Red Lion pub only a 2 minute walk away, sort of Phoenix Nights meets Emmerdale's Woolpack . We'll be back.....
